"Big J" started racing quarter midgets in April 2005. In Sr. Novice he won 9 of 12 features including the QMA Grands at NGQMA. In 2007 and 2008 "Big J" had many feature wins in Heavy Honda and set track records qualifying at HQMA and MCQMRA. "Big J" won the "HQMA Turkey Gobbler" in 2005 and 2007.
He always ask, "Dad why does this work this way? What would happen if we done this?" He always wanted to understand what was happening and why. In 2009 David Bowen hired "Big J' to be Anderson Bowen's handler in quarter midget racing. With advice from dad "Big J' setup Andersons car each race with lots of feature wins. Anderson Bowen won the A-Main at the 2009 Eastern Grands at Huntsville, Alabama. Way to go "Big J!"
